Since its foundation in killarney in 1998, Smart Sheds has been growing steadily .

From its home base in killarney Tomas O'Sullivan operated the company as a one man operation with the back up of his wife Majella O'Sullivan in administration.

It became obvious as time went on that as a result of increased demand for the Smart Sheds product a decision would have to be made, in relation to expanding the business.

This resulted in a move to a production and manufacturing facility at Monavalley in Tralee.

Smart Sheds was now in a position to manufacture a high quality profiled steel shed of varying sizes and specification.

This of course resulted in the hiring of skilled staff both in the workshop and fitting side of the business.

Volume of the business continued to increase to such an extent that Smart Sheds is not only one of Kerry's premier shed companies, but is fast on the way to being one of the best known in the munster region.

Investment as been crucial to the continued growth of Smart Sheds. Constant upgrading of both machinery and personnel is ongoing.

In the near future Smart Sheds will be taking delivery of custom designed machinery in the shape of a computerised controlled 4m guillotine and a swiss engineered state of the art folding machine which will increase both the options and close tolerance accuracy of the components required for all types of steel buildings. The total investment in these new machines is € 150,000.

The outlook for the company in both the medium and long term is very healthy.

Some very exciting plans are in under way in terms of new designs and concepts of building which will be announced in the near future.
